Welcome to LinguaLoop ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using our mobile application and related services (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the App.
LinguaLoop is a language learning app that allows users to add and track words, grammar, and phrases in their target language. The App generates short stories incorporating these learnings to help with revision and retention. The App also provides audio pronunciation by native speakers and translations to assist in the learning process.
Currently, LinguaLoop supports learning the following languages: Arabic, Bulgarian, Cantonese, Croatian, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese. The user interface is in English, and the App only translates these languages into English.
The App is available worldwide and can be downloaded through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Users from all countries are welcome to use our services, subject to compliance with local laws and regulations.
To use LinguaLoop, you need to create an account. You are responsible for:
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the App ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have all necessary rights to grant us the above license. You agree not to submit any User Content that is illegal, offensive, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
LinguaLoop may offer subscription services with different access levels and features. By subscribing to premium features, you agree to pay all fees associated with your subscription plan. All subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription through your account settings or the app store from which you purchased the subscription.
For App Store purchases: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.
For Google Play purchases: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage your subscriptions in the Google Play Store app.
Prices for subscriptions may vary by location, and additional taxes may apply depending on your country of residence.
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by LinguaLoop and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or use any content from our App without our prior written consent.
The App may generate content such as stories and translations. While these are created for your learning purposes, we retain ownership of the algorithms, methods, and systems used to generate this content.
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We strive to provide accurate translations and language content, but we do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content provided through the App. You acknowledge that language learning involves nuances that may not always be perfectly captured.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LinguaLoop and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the App or these Terms.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid us, if any, during the past twelve months.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LinguaLoop and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
You may terminate your use of the App by deleting your account. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page or through a notification in the App. Changes are effective when posted. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Australia.
If you are using the App from outside Australia, you are responsible for complying with all applicable local laws. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence.

If you download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you agree to their respective terms of service in addition to these Terms.
For Apple App Store users: These Terms constitute an agreement between you and LinguaLoop, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App and its content. However, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this agreement and has the right to enforce these Terms against you. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
For Google Play Store users: Google's terms of service for the Google Play Store apply in addition to these Terms. In case of conflicts between Google's terms and these Terms, Google's terms shall prevail.
